How Googler analysis reconsideration requests

Posted by Free Tools N Tips on July 13th, 2011

In an online discussion a Googler explained how Google reviews reconsideration requests. What can you do if your website has been penalized by Google and what does Google expect from you?

If your website has been penalized by Google, you can file a reconsideration request here. Google’s Plierre Far explained some details about reconsideration requests:

1. Google does not read all reconsideration requests

“We do have a team that reads and responds to reconsideration requests, but in some cases we may not read all reconsideration requests; for example, if a webmaster is bombarding us with a new request every day, we may select to read only the most recent submission.”

2. Your website must follow Google’s guidelines

Before you submit the request make sure that you read Google’s guidelines and that your site is in fulfillment to the best of your knowledge. That means that you should take away all spam elements from your website.

3. Make sure that it’s not a technical problem

”We’ve seen some webmasters misdiagnose the problem and think a manual spam action is affecting their site when in reality it’s something else, like a crawling issue.”

Check your website with IBP’s search engine spider simulator and make sure that your robots.txt file does not block Google’s spider.

4. Write a clear and detailed reconsideration request

“When you are writing the reconsideration request, be as detailed and as clear as possible – help us help you. Give a timeline as accurately as possible when you’re describing actions or changes that may be relevant.

If you did find and fix a violation, explain what you did. We do appreciate that some fixes simply cannot be completed 100%, and in those cases explain the effort you took to fix the problem as much as possible.”

Although Google allows you to file a reconsideration request, it usually takes a lot of time until Google removes the penalty.

For that reason, it’s better to avoid penalties. Do not uses spam my SEO methods to promote your website and focus on so-called white-hat SEO methods to promote your website on Google?

White-hat SEO methods are beneficial to you, your website visitors and Google, and they make sure that your website will get high rankings on Google that last.

Become Rich by Building Your Personal Website

The web is an immense leveler. And setting up your own website for free is easy and can help reach out to friends, links and business prospects. All that building your own website requires is patience. Filling it with satisfied and giving it shape is not daunting. Mukesh Maurya, who runs iExtended, a firm that builds and manages websites, says the first step to get a domain name and a host. The former is the name of the website. In other words, it’s the URL of a website. Currently, no free service offers users a proper domain name such as www.xyz.com, but there are several that offer sub-domains such as www.xyz.domain.com, says Maurya.

First off, it’s just fine to have a sub-domain rather than a domain proper. Once a user is happy setting up and managing a website, it’s easy enough to switch to a paid service. Domain names are quite cheap. You can have a .com domain for around Rs 500 per annum. Website names that use .net or .org or any other top domains are even cheaper, says Maurya.

Usually, websites that offer free sub domains also allow users to host their websites for free. To do this, one has to first upload the content of your website onto a computer, or in other words, a web server that runs 24/7. Free services are somewhat quality-limited but for beginners, they are perfect. Usually, you will get 1GB per month bandwidth and 250MB disk space. This is fine if you are planning a website through which you can keep in touch with family and friends or share photographs or files. Even for websites that have better traffic but which are mostly text based, such as those industries with news and analysis, the bandwidth requirement is not much.

Real Fonts Now Accessible In Hosted CMS with No Setup

Good typography on the web has long been a challenge. The web was designed with the postulation that all fonts are provided by the user’s computer, and this predestined that fonts on web pages were restricted to those who could count on being present on the vast majority of PCs and Macs.

To work around this constraint, designers have used descriptions of type instead of real style, or JavaScript or Flash type rendering. These approaches have a selection of drawbacks, including the difficulty of updating the site and the need to use complex replacement techniques to make the type noticeable to search engines.

Type kit is the easiest means to use real fonts on the web. Built around web standards, the check gives designers and developers a subscription-based library of hosted, high-quality fonts to use on their websites. Type kit has over 250,000 customers including some of the largest sites on the web today including The New York Times, Conde Nast, IGN, Twitter, and many others.

In my last post, I explained how you can use social media to identify the main trends and issues in your industry. Now, I’ll discuss how to find out where your target audience is getting information and what people are saying about you.

Where are your target audiences getting information?

Every industry talks to one another on places like Facebook, LinkedIn Answers, Twitter, Google Groups, Yahoo Groups, YouTube, forums, mailing lists, and link aggregation sites like Digg and delicious.

Have you asked customers what they read online and in print? Are there specific trade publications or journalists they follow? Bloggers? Trade shows? Webinars? Are they on Facebook and Twitter?

Let your customers know that you are on the same social media sites as them. Display it on their website, put it in your company’s email signature, add it to press releases, hang signs at trade show booths, and include it in online marketing campaigns.

3D is all over these days’ 3D movies, 3D HDTVs, 3D cameras and camcorders. Software is getting into the act, too with 3D presentation up in media apps like Roxio Creator 2011. Photoshop CS5 also offers 3D tools, but that will set you back 7 bills. 3D Image Commander lets you enter the third dimension for considerably less. But before you get your hopes up too much, I should note that this app won’t turn your photos into three-dimensional views like you get with Auto3D or TriDef. But it does make adding a few slick effects to your photos a snap, and it offers some basic image-editing abilities, too.

Interface
The very practical edge beckons, Drop Images Here in a simple window. A left panel is secure filled of slider offering choices like 3D Transformation, Stroke, Glow, Reflection, and Shadow. These are stock-and-trade Photo shop technique that create 3D tromp loyal effect, while of course not being genuine 3D images. At top hub is the Render button in the form of a clock. Though 3D Image Commander lacks most photo essentials, such as rotation and intensity adjustment, you can crop your representation with a click.

Web Design Trends: Internet Typeface

Posted by Author - Freetoolsntips on September 21st, 2010

We read when we are online. It is a extremely simple statement, but we read an awful lot of text and we do so without realizing that much thought goes into the plan of the text that we are reading.

Just as there are trends in the metaphors, use of color and other design fundamentals, the actual fonts and type that formulate up the words go through trends, too.

Smudgy, drop burdened grays and grayish black in inscription signify the granular deeply urban or post apocalyptic/industrial grittiness of image that has been popular for a time with Gen X’ers. There are incredible and countless font and designer alphabet potential these days.

These fonts are fine for logos, site names, titling, headers, labels and other limited uses, but there are limitations to fonts that are acceptable for presenting larger blocks of text. Thus, the trend for presenting straight text is actually toward traditional type fonts.

Another inclination is toward less clutter on a web page. Instead of teeming and chaotic pages, a single statement or concept, with “billboard” style of presentations of superior and bolder script and more empty space to make the main report is one trend. The range is beginning large to huge letters that sometimes go off the edge of the page.
